How do you wrap up your year?

This is the second year I’ve participated in SoulWork’s year end/beginning Manifesto. I truly enjoy this experience, although, it always reminds me that I need to take more pictures. Pictured is what represented my year. This was taken at the yin yoga retreat I attended and it’s representative of all of the burning away that happened over the last year. So much burning away and uncovering!

There are 3 “assignments” I’m sharing here. 1-the pictures that summarizes my year; 2-111 memories from the year; and 3-11 lessons learned.

3-11 Lessons

  1. Magic happens in the space between

  2. Trust, even when everything is falling apart

  3. Stepping out is scary, but worth the fear

  4. Persistence pays off

  5. When you feel stuck, get outside

  6. Lean into your friends when you feel overwhelmed.

  7. Find mentors who have what you want

  8. Learning  your roots can be life changing

  9. There is magic in the everyday, you can find it if you look for it.

  10. Trust yourself, you know the answers

  11. Create a plan, but be willing to reevaluate and redo

What do you do to recap your year? If you don’t do anything, I recommend this practice. Our other homework is to write 2 forgiveness letters: 1 to ourselves and another to the “other” and to do something with the pictures.
